How you can stunt your own growth

So, I made the move to Atlanta to venture out and look for work in my field. It’s been difficult since I haven’t been able to sleep, or really explore the city. What really makes me think is knowing how stubborn I was before finally giving in to Creator’s plan.

I always wanted to work in media, but kept looking for work in places where the industry wasn’t really growing. So of course I prayed for direction because I must be getting something wrong, and I was doing something wrong. I wasn’t directing my search toward the right location, I knew I was being stubborn because I had friends and family at home. However, it was not were I was going to grow as an individual and I knew I wasn’t happy, so after speaking with Creator about making the big move, I got my sign. Funny enough, my best friend got a sign too, she said there was a vision of me working in an office with my hair pressed out (I have a curly fro) and it all came together at a family reunion. I had family members encouraging me to come out to Atlanta, mind you this was my first time meeting them, but it was all positivity.

I have a job interview tomorrow I should be sleeping but the combination of excitement and fear is keeping me up…I’m glad I’m here.

See, we sometimes pray or hope for certain things and don’t realize that we can get in the way of our own blessings. Even when we don’t want to give up certain things or leave people we care about, but we have to trust Creator that He will look out for us.
